Our "Puppet Lab" Workshops are Making an Impact!

Our team at Sigmon Theatrical had the honor of presenting puppetry workshops at Blumenthal Arts for 50 theatre educators from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools! It was an amazing day sparking imagination, using upcycled, sustainable, and low-budget ingredients to teach others how to make puppets like we use in our shows.

“Teachers embraced their own creativity and curiosity while crafting simple yet strikingly effective low-cost puppets,” shared Blumenthal Arts. “Each participant not only walked away with a puppet they’d made, but also with new, practical techniques ready to be applied in the classroom. Sigmon Theatrical brings magic to life in every experience!”

And the feedback from educators? Pure joy. One teacher called it “truly one of the most helpful PD days I've had since I started teaching,” noting how puppetry techniques will be woven into their fall production. “I get so excited for any and all workshops by Sigmon Theatrical... they are awesome!”
