AREA 50: Bringing an Out-of-This-World Celebration to the Town of Stallings

When the Town of Stallings, NC, set out to celebrate their 50th anniversary, they wanted something extraordinary—something that would transport guests beyond the boundaries of imagination. Sigmon Theatrical answered the call, designing and producing AREA 50, a fully customized, immersive festival that was nothing short of interstellar.

Sigmon Theatrical is no stranger to crafting unforgettable worlds, from immersive spectacles like their groundbreaking THE WONDERLAND EXPERIENCE or THE SLEEPY HOLLOW ADVENTURE, but AREA 50 was a whole new frontier. The outerspace and alien-themed extravaganza featured a full cast of roving characters that brought the event to life, from daring astronauts to movie-quality extraterrestrials that looked like they had stepped straight off a sci-fi film set.

Interactive Shows That Pulled Guests Into the Story

At the heart of AREA 50 were two spectacular interactive performances, including a high-energy music-driven show that had festival-goers moving to interstellar beats, and an interactive show that turned guests into space explorers, guiding them through a cosmic adventure with and astronaut training.

One of the most talked-about experiences of the festival was the immersive Alien Encounter inside our all-new and custom-built WonderDome, specially designed to serve as an intimate performance venue. Within this space, guests had the opportunity to meet and interact with a baby alien—a fully customized puppet created for Sigmon Theatrical to blur the line between reality and fantasy.

Sigmon Theatrical has long been recognized for its ability to transform events into magical experiences, and AREA 50 was another home run! From whimsical Wonderland adventures to historic battles and prehistoric spectacles, our ability to craft authentic, immersive experiences is something we take great pride in.
